Octavo Ads — Privacy & Data Protection Policy

Octavo Ads collects only the data our apps need to work, protects it with strong safeguards, never sells it, and lets you access or delete it at any time.

About this policy

This policy is issued by [OctavoAds Global Pvt. Ltd (“Octavo Ads”, “we”, “us”), registered at 632, 2nd Floor, BLOCK B-1, JANAKPURI, West Delhi, New Delhi-110058. It applies to:

  • our website, www.octavoads.com;
  • every mobile, web and desktop app published under the Octavo Ads brand (the “Apps”);
  • related support, email and communication channels (together, the “Services”).

Where an App collects data in a way not described here, that App will show an additional notice before collection. If an App notice and this policy differ, the App notice applies for that App.

By using the Services, you acknowledge this policy. Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it separately, and you can withdraw it at any time.

1. Our data protection principles

Every Octavo Ads App is built and reviewed against these seven commitments.

PrincipleWhat it means for you
Data minimisationEach App collects only the data its features need. Optional data is clearly marked.
Purpose limitationWe use data only for the purposes stated in this policy or the App notice.
TransparencyWe tell you what we collect, why, and who we share it with, in plain language.
Privacy by designPrivacy reviews happen before an App or feature launches, not after.
SecurityData is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted by role.
Your controlYou can view, correct, export or delete your data and withdraw consent.
No sale of dataWe do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

2. Information we collect

We collect three kinds of data: what you give us, what your device sends automatically, and limited data from partners. The exact set varies by App and is listed in each App’s store privacy label.

Device permissions. Some Apps request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, precise location or notifications. We ask only when a feature needs it, explain why at the time, and you can refuse or revoke it in your device settings. Data accessed through a permission is used only for that feature.

Sensitive data. We do not intentionally collect health, biometric, financial account, religious, political or sexual-orientation data. If an App ever needs such data, it will ask for your explicit consent first.

3. How we use information

4. Advertising, analytics and third-party SDKs

Some Apps are free because they show ads; personalised ads run only with your permission, and we never sell your personal data.

  • Ads. Apps may use ad networks such as [Google AdMob / Meta Audience Network / others]. With your consent (and, on iOS, App Tracking Transparency permission), these partners may use your advertising ID to show relevant ads. Without consent, you see non-personalised ads.
  • Analytics and crash reporting. We use tools such as [Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics / others] to understand App usage and fix errors. We configure them to minimise data collected and disable advertising features where not needed.
  • Cookies on the website. octavoads.com uses essential cookies to work and, with your consent, analytics cookies. You can change your choice through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
  • Your controls. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in device settings (Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking) and turn off personalised ads in each App’s privacy settings.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal data only in the limited cases below, and always under contract or legal obligation.

  • Service providers (data processors). Cloud hosting, databases, email delivery, payment processing, customer support and analytics vendors who process data only on our instructions, under written data processing agreements with confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Across Octavo Ads Apps. If you use one Octavo Ads account across several Apps, account data is shared between those Apps to give you a single sign-in. We do not combine data across Apps for advertising without your consent.
  • Legal requirements. Government or law enforcement authorities, when required by law, court order or to protect rights, safety, and property. We review each request and disclose only what is required.
  • Business transfers. A buyer or successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, who must honour this policy. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different policy.
  • With your direction. Anyone you choose to share content with inside an App.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it with data brokers.

6. How we protect your data

We apply technical and organisational safeguards across every App, consistent with ISO/IEC 27001 practices and the reasonable security practices required under Indian law.

  • Encryption: TLS 1.2 or higher for all data in transit; AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
  • Passwords: stored only as salted hashes; never readable by our staff.
  • Access control: role-based, least-privilege access with multi-factor authentication for all staff and admin systems.
  • Monitoring: logging, intrusion detection, and regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
  • Secure development: code review, dependency scanning, and a privacy review before each App release.
  • Vendor checks: security and privacy assessment of every processor before onboarding.
  • People: confidentiality agreements and annual data protection training for staff with data access.

Breach response. If a personal data breach occurs, we will contain it, investigate, and notify the Data Protection Board of India, other regulators where required (for example within 72 hours under GDPR), and affected users without undue delay, with steps you can take.

No system is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password and tell us at r@octavoads.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
